Realme X3 SuperZoom is a Snapdragon 855+ device with 5x periscope camera

Oppo’s sub-brand Realme has launched the X3 SuperZoom into the European market. They are yet to say when or if the smartphone will be available outside of the European market and others.

Under the hood is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ chipset with Octa-core 2.96GHz processor. The chipset is paired with a 12GB LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB UFS 3.0 storage. There is no room for additional storage but the 256GB should be more than enough for storing media and document files. Software-wise, it runs on Android 10 OS based on Realme UI.

As many of you would have imagined, the smartphone name originated from its camera. It features an 8MP periscope zoom lens which can shoot up to 60x hybrid zoom shots with the help of the 64MP main sensor and software. The phone’s module packs a quad-camera with the other two being an 8MP ultrawide sensor and a 2MP macro camera.

On the front side, the smartphone features a pill-shaped hole in its display which houses two cameras – 32MP Sony IMX616 sensor and an 8MP ultrawide angle sensor. The display is an IPS LCD panel measured at 6.57-inch with 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.

The Realme X3 SuperZoom packs a decent 4,200 mAh battery capacity with the support of a 30W wired dart fast charge. Other notable features include side-mounted fingerprint reader, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi, and USB Type-C.

The phone is available right now for pre-order via the company’s European website in Glacier Blue and Arctic White. According to a Twitter post by Realme, the official sales will start on June 2 by 10 AM.
